Documented Experiences (DE) is an inclusive safe outspoken platform, creative network, and cultural web magazine for all artistic expression.
We originated from the need to create a community of writers, artists, and musicians, all connected through the love for expression. We are based in Beirut, Lebanon.
We began as a literary club in the summer of 2017, during a thriving art scene. Then, we became an art hub, encompassing literary, visual, and auditory forms of expression.
We continue to practice values we cherish: unfiltered honesty, courage in vulnerability, and collective healing, by engaging people with necessary discussions on the self and the other.
We foster a cultural platform where ideas intermingle. Our events range from open mic nights and speed discussions to gallery visits and movie screenings. We also welcome professionals from the creative field that can push the boundaries of art, offer insight, and inspire the emerging community of artists in Lebanon.
Through our web magazine, we hope to be where thoughts find home, the destination for unfolded paper planes.
We welcome quality content that speaks to different levels of intellect and artistic comprehension. Explore our theme of the month and out of theme genres, that include poetry, fiction and nonfiction, visuals, and interviews.
Meet the Creatives

Celine is studying Media and Communications at the American University of Beirut. Celine believes that storytelling is within the fabric of society. As so, she writes in forms of intimate journalism and poetry. She better expresses herself in English; through the eyes of an observer, she uncurls her Arabic tongue and identity.

Cyrille is studying Biology at the Lebanese American University, with a potential minor in Philosophy. Though science is an influential part of her life, a variety of art provides a necessary sense of solace, especially during periods of academic stress. To Cyrille, poetry, literature, and arts are often intertwined, constituting a limitless world of unapologetic self-reflection.

Rami is studying Business at the American University of Beirut. He is a student journalist who is interested in the expressive art of writing, but also the intricate world of data analytics. He’s also a history and ideology nerd, which he spends his free time reading on.

Mohammad is a Film graduate at the Lebanese University. Currently, he is working on freelance film projects, that are mainly thrillers of psychological and philosophical nature. His interests vary, from reading about history, to enthusiastically analyzing movies. He also enjoys writing Arabic poetry, as he feels it is necessary for it to be preserved and treasured.
